I am not sure, but I think you are refering to the post I made on the mileage I have got on a set of brakes before. I was using that as an example how varied it can be, I don't feel that much is normal for others at all. I do VERY little town/city riding, most all the miles are road miles and easy country road riding with little braking at all. You know if you don't brake much they don't wear out very fast.

From 6/10,000 miles. I get new pads ever time i get new tires. I changed them out at 8,000 on the V* 1100 and about 15,000 on my V* 650.

Dan, what you are saying is more than likely a ballpark average for most folks, some less than you get, a tiny few will get much more. The bottom line is how aggressive does a person ride,and is there a lot of stop and go in cities and towns. I am nowhere near a set of brakes yet with much over double where you change yours at.
