Been awhile since I posted. Just put on a set of Bub straights on my 2001 vstar 1100. Let me tell you PITA. if you know what that means. Anyhow sound great but as I was putting them on,told myself I would put a ORK on before I pulled them off to change oil. Then got looking at it,and it really looks like you can get the cover off of the filter without removing the pipe and yes I put them on right. Here is a link, not good picture but anyone got these and am I looking at it wrong? Thanks dave

Yeah they do. Mine r straight cut but I can't imagine they made many different types. Did u put them on? If so was it tighter than disks hat band. On mine ur suppose to put a spacer between the floor board, have to move the back brake fluid reservoir. Speaking of that, where did u mount that too. I got these used and their instructions says something about mounting it to the starter via a bolt they sent with the pipes. Second hand I didn't get that bolt. Thanks Dave

ok...a few questions in there...lol...first my are straight cut also you can buy the 45 degree cut-offs i think it looks better with them, yea i did help put them on, i have a relative that works at the local yamaha dealer, rear brake reservoir didnt need to be moved, i couldnt use the spacer because then the pipe would hit the running board and without the spacer, the pipe is too close to the oil filter cover and i had to use the oil relocating kit...

as you can see the just behind the back of the front fender the oil relocating kit and the braided hoses...

great looking bike Mike. Yeah I blew the pic up but cant tell if your reservoir is where mine was. Its on the bracket right in front of the starter. I just couldnt tell if yours was there. yeah I appreciate it. I could of used a hand putting them on. Couldnt believe how tight they were. I mean tight. The nut that holds the front pipe on has a washer built into it. Dont know what its called. It took me ten minutes to get that nut started because the washer was hitting the pipe. I mean tight!!!!. When I was putting them on I was thinking about having to take it back off to change the oil and then I saw the oil filter cover after I had put it on. The pic isnt good at all,but I really think i can get the cover off. Wont know until I try. If I do,the pipe will come off one more time. ORK baby!!! Thanks Dave
