i'm was setting the cam's on my 650 and need some input, the front sprocket seems easy to line up but the rear one with the piston at TDC the cam sprocket will only line up 1/2 tooth before the mark or 1/2 tooth after the mark has anyone run into this and if so which way did you set it 1/2 before or 1/2 after

i guess nobody did engine work on a 650 on this forum, the manual states the timing mark could be off by a half tooth but it doesn't tell me what in which direction forward? or back?, i thought out of the hundreds of people on this forum someone would know this but i guess i thought wrong, thanks, no one even hazard a guess unbelievable

before tdc as the chain wears it comes into time rather than getting late
now that makes sense, thanks. as the sprockets wear and the chains stretch the mark would definitely advance to make the mark line up, so i'm going set it 1/2 tooth retarded, i'll let you know how it worked out
