Looking in from tue pack of the pipes there are some core like baffles or something. Can these be removed for better sound or should I leave them be ?

Jabo,

Most baffels do come out. Not all go back. Sometimes people feel they are too loud and want to go back so be sure before you jump.

Not sure on your specific pipes but I have the Cobra Classic Deluxe slash cuts and the baffles are removable and replacable. Tiny screw on underside of each pipe holds them in.

yea I pulled them out before rejetting and they sound really bad azz
