You are going to need to purchase a feeler gauge that goes down to 0.0015, Grainger sells a single feeler gauge and a gauge set that goes down to 0.0015. You are likely not going to find a feeler gauge that is specced at 0.0016 and you are going to have a hard time finding a feeler gauge that goes below 0.0015.

Most feeler gauges will stop at 0.002 which is outside the spec for the valve clearance i.e. a touch too much clearance.

The Yamaha spec is virtually zero clearance at 0.0016 as it is.

If you are having a hard time finding a feeler gauge that goes down to 0.0016 check Grainer as they go down to 0.0015.

I ordered a feeler gauge set from Cucamonga Yamaha but it only goes down to 0.002 and it is for checking valve clearance on Yamahas. Don't order this feeler gauge set as it does not go low enough.

So I have now ordered the single feeler gauge that is 0.0015 and the feeler gauge set that includes the feeler gauge in it that goes down to 0.0015, I have not been able to find a feeler gauge that is below the 0.0015.

I have a hard time believing that valves could be noisy at 0.002 but the spec is below that for the maximum clearance.

Nice find, many web sites the specs are not listed and the photo they show of the gauges fanned out you can't read the low end to make sure the have a gauge that is low enough in the set to check the valve clearance.

Finding the adjuster wrench for the rocker arm adjuster bolt has been impossible as it is a 4mm square head, however there is a six piece tappet adjuster set that is listed in the service manual, I ordered that kit and it is a motion pro brand kit, the part number for Yamaha is YM-A5970.

Here is a link to Ebay for it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MOTION-PRO-6-Piece-VALVE-TAPPET-ADJUSTING-TOOL-SET-motorcycle-atv-atc-dirtbike-/352514461528 this kit will have the 4mm square head tool required to adjust the tappet.

If you are not comfortable ordering from Ebay you can get the set from other places as well.

Here is one from KL Supply: https://www.klsupply.com/general-equipment/tappet-adjust-set6-piece-35-5970.asp

Here it is from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Motion-Pro-08-0073-Tappet-Tool/dp/B000JP31T8

What ever you do don't use an open end 4 mm wrench or an adjustable style wrench on the 4mm head of the tappet adjuster or you can round it off making adjusting the tappets next to impossible.

I am not sure what size nut Yamaha uses on the tappet to lock the tappet screw but that nut has a torque spec of 18 lbs ft so a crows foot is going to be needed to confirm the torque of the lock nut and can be used with the motion pro 4 mm tappet socket.
