Decelerating pop

I own a 2011 Yamaha 950 tourer. I recently purchase a new aftermarket cobra system. I am getting continuous popping now only when I decelerate. Can anyone assist?

The declaration pop was always there, just baffled with stock exhaust. It's caused by unburnt fuel entering the exhaust, hitting the hot exhaust and is ignited. On a fuel injected bike a fuel processor or ECU (Ivan's) flash can reduce it. Another way to reduce the popping, don't slam the throttle all the way close quickly. Close is 90 percent or so, then close it the rest a split second later. This will eliminate most popping but some have a different time adjusting to this.

Mine does the same but I just don't worry about it.

I don't regret getting Ivan's tune. It significantly reduces the popping and shifting is so much smoother.

Had the same on my 2015 950 with cobra slip on. Ivans tune pretty much eliminated it.

Would say double check the valves depending on milage I know 4 k is when u want to catch it
Same on my 1300 with cobra slip, it just means she's happy, like others have stated, you get the pop on the stock but it's muffled.
