finally finished watching this movie over the weekend. i was disappointed with the ending. did they just want to send the message how messed up the south is?

i laughed to myself as i imagined the aftermath of some wrecker hauling off what's left of the bikes and nobody ever looking into the gas tank to find all that money.

I remember watching Easy Rider when it first came out, well sort of, it was the seventies after all. Watching it the second time about two years ago was painful. Maybe I've become too critical as a mid fifties old fart but I think it was a crappy movie. Iconic, but crappy. There really weren't many good biker movies made. I've watched the original biker movie, The Wild One, several times and although not an academy award winner, is probably still the best biker movie.
