Puzzled here... Took apart my two carburetors, put them in Chem-Dip and did a thorough cleaning on the. Reinstalled them and as soon as I open the petcock, get a gasoline leak. I feel pretty sure I re-installed all the hoses. But there is a naked brass nipple at the bottom of one of the carbs that is without a hose and spewing gas... [See attached] Is there supposed to be a plug for that and maybe I popped if off by accident. Or is it supposed to be connected to a hose? If so, where does the hose go? Anybody familiar with this?

That's your bowl over flow vent, your floats are set too high or float valve is defective. Should be a hose on it that goes down toward bottom of bike.

I would remove the float bowl covers and check to see if you have a stuck float... Also check the spring back of the floats - this will help you determine if there is something binding or damaged. This will be quicker to do than pulling the carbs from the bike.
