batwing for vstar

check memphis shades. I know they have one that is made for the vstar.
Windshiels buffeting

I have a tall vstar windshield assembly and no matter how I adjust it I still get buffeted unless I crouch below the shield. I would prefer to not look through the windshield at all, but in order to reduce the buffeting I have to look through the top 1 1/2 of the windshield. I am 5'9 so I dont think that it is my height. I have tried changing the angle on the windshield but that does not help either. Is there anything that can be done? Does anyone know if these windshields are designed to be looked through and not over? I am ready to take it off alltogether.

Also, has anyone attached the batwing to a vstar and how is the buffeting?

Thanks
Buffeting

I have a stock Silverado windshield on my 1100 Silverado and have it adjusted to the highest hole, the buffeting for me comes all from below, somewhat like a hurricane, Santa brought a set of lowers I hope to get on when the weather here turns something better than artic, friends tell me that will help a ton, I don't know, they say the lowers did a world of good for them, anxious to find out.
Lowers

Lowers were the answer for me on my V Star and my Stratoliner. There is low pressure behind the windshield and air comes in under it and turns up. Was OK below 65 MPH but at highway speed my glasses would shake. On the V Star I used Yamaha's chromed lowers. On the Stratoliner I used Buck's Lowers.

I've seen the Memphis Shades batwing and as just a fairing it works, but is there anything available to mount speakers and radio in? I wish I could find something like teh Windjammer I had on my KZ 1100 Kaw several years ago.
Hmm, I will have to check into getting lowers as well. Thanks
I remember my old vetter fairing from back in the day. It was great !
Here is an other example. They have several fairings.

Thanks for the link. This is exactly what I'm looking for, and more.
Not bad, just over a grand with stereo with bluetooth!
Some more fairing info I stumbled upon on the Kuryakyn website. Good luck

I put the lowers on, buffeting was gone. The buffeting was so bad I never wanted to ride over 60 mph, now I have no buffeting at all.
What you mean that the bikes aren't supposed to buffet with a windshield? And all this time I thought it was normal.
Silly me.

Don't know if you are makin a funny or not, but, on my old Virago, I have a Silhouette windshield made in Martinsville IN, that creates NO wind bufetting at all, wear a ball cap, light a smoke with a Zippo, wear whatever glasses you want, no problem. Windshield, lowers all molded into one solid piece. Sadly, they are no longer available. It's a whole different ballgame on my Silverado with stock, hope to cure that soon with a set of lowers I just got.
I used one off an 06 Street Glide.. Just trying to figure out which is the sensor wire so that I can wire up the SunPro Speedo
