Final Gear Leak
hi, i have a 2005 vstar classic 650 with only 2,200miles on it.
i noticed a leak comming from the 4-bolt final gear housing, just before where the pinion gear sits.
i drained the oil to inspect it and about 4-5 small shreds of metal came out. the oil looked very metallic. i flushed the case with fresh castrol gear oil until it looked clean again.
any ideas?
