I checked a couple of things on my "New to Me" 2006 Roadliner S with 10,000 km (6200 miles)

Checked front pulley nut torque.
All tight at 100 ft lbs

Removed gauge cluster from tank and cleaned up all four wiring connections with contact cleaner and lubricant. Fuel gauge still no worky properly.

I have not ridden yet this spring, but will the gauge move once the bike is on the road?
I noticed when I filled it up late last fall that the gauge didn't go right to full until I rode for a while.
Is that a normal occurrence?

1st big question:
When you first turn the key, before you hit the start button, does the gas gage needle sweep over to "F" and then back to "E"?

If yes - there's a good chance it'll register the gas amount after driving a very short distance.

She'll work...mine takes about 200 yards before it moves over to the actual level after filling up!

:D

Then I'd bet you a coffee it'll start working correctly once you start riding her out in the street, the roadliner that is.
Wifey and I went for our 1st ride and the fuel gauge works.

This bike should be called a Monster instead of my Ducati.
