i searched the entire service manual for "rev" and "limiter" and didn't find anything. a good benefit to having the CD version of the repair manual. this thing is great.
Not sure but I believe the rev limiter is a function in the Fuel/ ignition module. You may be able to change it some with a after market fuel controller. Should be around 5.500 to 6,000 RPM. I never saw much reason to move it up because the torque peaks under 5,000 RPM on many V Twins.
