So, its my first couple hours on my new 650 custom and I'm having a blast. Well, I stop for a little bit to grab a sandwich and when I'm leaving the parking lot I don't give the throttle enough gas and it feels like its starting to stall, so I give it a little more and then the bike lurched forward into the middle of the street and the oncoming car had to slam its brakes to not hit me...
...I look around and the lady in the car behind me is completely pale and shes covering her mouth with her hands. I pull off to the side to be courteous and let people by, thinking I dropped the clutch with two much gas and caused the bike to move forward a few feet, where it died. Turns out, the lady behind me actually rear-ended me... she wasn't watching me and just pushed me out into oncoming traffic. No damage to the bike, except a bent license plate... her car took a good amount of damage to the right light casing and the right fender but most of all I'm glad the oncoming car had good brakes.
Lets just say that hopefully I got my only car accident on a bike out of the way early.
