Hi all - just wanted to check in and read up on that gorgeous bike I have been drooling over for a couple of years now. I currently own a 2006 FZ1 since new with a bunch of go fast goodies. I'm maturing past the speed and still find myself drooling over the road or stratoliner every time I see one. I have always loved the cruiser style motorcycles and the quality/reliability that was built into my FZ1 has me even more convinced this lineup will carry my next steed. 3 seasons on my fizzy has netted me 16k & change on the odometer...so I'm hoping to find more comfort should I shift over.....anywho I digress...and I'll read. I'll ask questions and listen attentively to ownership words of wisdom. Looking forward to learning more about this machine....thanks for having me :D

I never rode sport bikes, had a Honda 550-F back in the day, but that was more of a standard bike. When I got back into riding in 2005, I bought a V-Star 1100 and rode it for five years before selling it to buy a new 2006 Roadliner that had sat in my dealer's small showroom for three years before I took it home this past August. If you like the look of the Liner, riding one should impress you immenseley. This 800+ pound bike when dressed (I Stratoliner'ed mine with bags, shield, etc.) is the best handling, fastest and finest cruiser I have ever ridden. The 113 cubic inches really show up for work. This is a marvellously well engineered motorcycle, jiust google revviews and see what experts say about it. Smooth is an understatement. Love my Liner! Pics here:

thnx for the reply Caper

that's exactly what I'm doing - looking for a leftover ...love the bronze & raven 06'. The other color I like is candy apple red & raven from 08'. I'm a tinkerer so it won't stay simple liner for long..I love the 2010 stratoliner deluxe..but she's a little steep $$ wise for what is being offered. I'm hoping to find a leftover w/ little to no miles for 10k or less and slap on some hard bags (tsukayu) and fairing (yamie's should be avail when I purchase or memphis shades batwing)...maybe some tunes and I'll be more than happy....

I just love to ride in general so am looking forward to getting back in the saddle this coming season.

I bought an 06 in October after searching for a couple of months. There are plenty of good deals out there if you shop around. I haven't put enough miles on mine to offer a valued opinion. I've been on the big touring bikes for the last 11+ years and this bike seems just as heavy but with the lower center of gravity I find it easier in slow speeds but not as comforting in higher speed twistees. I find the big bikes with a higher center of gravity to be easier to countersteer.

I too really like the looks of the Liner and have been adding "safety" chrome and other goodies to mine before spring arrives. It came with the OEM tall windshield, studded Mustang seats, Kuryakyn grips, custom (narrower) handlebars, and chrome Lindy Linbar. I've since added Kurakyn passenger floorboards, quick release backrest with a Mustang pad, rear rack, studded Mustang fender bib, and large rear bag. I will be buying the Memphis Shades Batwing and some saddlebags. I haven't decided on which ones yet but I'm partial to the Edge 104XLS with the quick release brackets. :D

yeah I saw that too....not a big fan of the silver...was really looking for a 2 tone. Love that Bronze/raven scheme. Also like the Candy/Raven too. I did see the two tone on ebay too..that has my interest peaked.

Sold FZ1 for Roadliner

Know how ya feel. I loved my FZ. Hated to see it go but couldn't afford both. I'm so much happier with the roadliner personally. Couldn't ride the FZ for any distance without regretting it. And NO cruiser corners like the Roadliner/Stratoliner. Getting ready to put Vance and Hines pipes, Patrick racing air kit, and Power commander on with Income tax money.
