$4.10!!! $2.59 here but wherever Ca. goes, NY is quick to follow and find new creative ways to raise taxes. recently announced plan to make everyone buy new license plates at $35 a vehicle. The uproar was so loud that they quickly backed down.

Oil is at $53.55 a barrel so that's not it. Not summer blend like they do in the spring. Haven't heard of any refineries offline. Just greed.

Can't recall what I paid for regular, but my cars require premium fuel. Paid $2.94 last night (that included a 5-cent per gallon drop for Shell loyalty) for Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline in NW GA.

Prices where I live in Central Florida are anywhere from $2.349 per gallon to $2.59. Just depends on the location of the station. Local Murphy is holding steady at $2.39. These are all for the regular unleaded, 87 octane.

$2.65 in upstate NY

lower if you shop around...

the thing with the plates in NYS, for a couple years they screwed up the paint, and many are now bear metal

state was going to make everyone buy new plates because of that.

yeah... uhm..... no!

Here in East Tennessee we pay $29 a year for license plates, and I paid $2.16 for regular and non-ethanol is $2.46 a gallon but it fluctuates weekly by 1 to 3 cents a gallon.

thought I heard that Ca. now requires a special blend of gas to reduce emissions that increases refining costs???

Plates here depends on the vehicle's weight. A car is around $91, my Ram was $160, bike is $40. Gas here is currently $1.26/liter for 91 octane (about $4.76/US gallon), which is what the beast requires. It's $1.18/liter for 87 octane ($4.46/US gallon).

We also had an issue with the paint falling off a run of plates but the government (surprisingly) got the company that manufactures them to come good for it and anyone whose plate had this issue could turn them in for a free replacement set. Strange that they let an opportunity to gouge us slip by like that, but it IS an election year.

Conspiracy time.....Maybe they are trying to convince you to get onboard with the whole electric vehicle crap....if that succeeds you know there will be a balloon and baseball card shortage as people will start hoarding those to put in their spokes to get that rumble back....LOL...I am just kidding...or am I???

Price of baseball cards just went up. You have hit a sore spot with the electric thing with me. I get the saving energy and all but i just don't understand. Tesla cant sell cars because they got a break for the first 10000 cars. Now at the cost people can't afford them. Our new Wisconsin governor in all of his infinite wisdom (super sarcasm (not getting into politics)) put an extra surcharge for plates for hybrid cars. Not that i would ever buy one but i sure as hell won't now!

Most places here in NC are $2.33 - $2.57 depending on the area. Some have Premium for as low as $2.98
The problem with you guys is that California is BROKE but yet they still want this utopia Socialist “free for illegals” society on the backs of Citizens.
You gotta pay for it somehow. Gavin Newsome
Is a MORON and I hope the recall effort against him succeeds for the sake of all Californians!
I lived out there for 31yrs so I know what it USED to be and what it has become.
That’s why I left in 2009. Thank God!

I saw that one too! How about the bald eagles that are getting killed by those wind turbines? See that one?
Or how about the landfill problem because the HUGE blades have to be changed every 3 years. It just seems that they “strain at a gnat and swallow a Camel”!

On that "Free" street car we got cost 10mil a year to operate. Now to try and support it they want to lay off 50 police officers and raise the sales tax 1%. The people voted not to get it and they still rammed it down our throats. They also are trying to expand it before the DNC convention next summer. Potowatomi casino paid for all of the fares for the first year. Now that is ending they even didn't get the things needed to take fares. WTF! Our nonfunctional democratic government in action.

Gas prices are a joke if someone farts in the middle east they rush to raise prices 20 cents a gallon and then the slow walk back down to where they were before someone farted.

The old we are doing refinery maintenance is also a bogus excuse, in all the years have any of you ever seen a shortage of gas while they were doing refinery maintenance? Me either, they just use that as an excuse to boost prices, people don't stop driving when they do refinery maintenance, the overall mileage does not go down during these periods.

Every time we turn around they are bumping gas prices up 20 cents over night for no reason then they slow walk it back down over the next week or in most cases two weeks and even as long as three weeks then they start the same BS all over again.

Right now in Southwest Florida gas prices are from $2.26 a gallon to $2.49 a gallon.

Then there is the issue of you don't really even get a gallon of fuel you are getting 9/10's of a gallon, who the hell came up with that stupid idea many moons ago.

7-Eleven about a month ago over night jumped their prices 20 cents a gallon but none of the other stations followed them and they all went up 10 cents a gallon over a three day period and 7-Eleven ended up having to drop their prices 10 cents before they all started their slow walk back down on prices.

These over night price increases are nothing more than a profit scheme, they jump the price for no reason and slow walk the price back down, extra profit for them less money in your pocket for your family.

Prices are regulated around here so everyone is basically the same, usually a few cents under the maximum allowed. I agree that it doesn't take much for them to have an excuse to raise the price though, and it always seems to go way up, then down a couple of cents over the next few weeks, then repeats. But it never seems to go down quite as much as it went up so the trend is higher and higher. Excuses like unrest in the Middle East, a refinery is closed for maintenance in... Texas, for example, winter blend, summer blend. It's all BS. Our prices here are double most areas in the US, even though Canada has plenty of oil. Enough that much of it is exported to the US. And a good portion of it is taxes so our crook of a Prime Minister can send billions to foreign countries, fund his vacations, and bail out billion dollar corporations.

But I digress...
