hey how are you doin? I own a strat midnight Im 5' 6" and this thing is huge under me. Its fast and reliable. Ive pudt 20,000 on it and its an 06. The only problem with it is finding someone to work on it that knows what theyre doing. The only marks on my bike are from mechanics. Any way GREAT BIKE. ................nujent

We purchased our Stratoliner new in july of 2007 and we have 16500 miles on her now .the only thing you may want to change is the saddle if you want to take long trips . the factory seat is good for about an hour to two hour ride before needing a good butt break . I have put a seat from the ultimate seat company on mine and not only do I love it my wife Loves it more than I do .Best money I ever spent for an upgrade on any of my bikes .If I were to get another bike I would have to get another new Stratoliner S .Oh and the S models are slightly more expensive but they come with a lot more polished aluminum and chrome ... I am never sorry for my purchase .
more than enough room for two up with taller or bigger framed people like myself ... My wife thinks she has a chauffer ... LOL
Yeah..I purchased a new Stratoliner s...2007...first Yamaha and my last...you pay big bucks for a bike and they install a lousy seat..so your forced to sink more money for a new seat...that's B.S!!Also the bike is not user friendly...everything is tight...this bike could use some upgrades...I wouldn't recommend this bike to my worst emeny...check your dealer and see how much they charge for a lousy oil change...want to buy this one...only 2900 miles and 5 yr warranty...I might throw in a case of beer...cause you'll need it after swearing about this and [email protected]#$%!!!!
Hi, New to this forum. I bought an 07 last year for a great price, and I love this bike. I am 6-1 210, my wife 5-4 (not heavy :), and the bike fits us very well. The seat really is terrible, so I bought two Air Hawks, and thats ok for now 275 instead of 960 for the full Ultimate seat setup that I really should get. The passenger gets more than a little buffeting, a taller gal would get more. I am getting a Rifle replacement shield, 3.5 inches wider, and I'm getting the tallest one they make. The AirHawk pads raise me maybe an inch. Oil change is no big deal as far as I'm concerned. I get 38 mpg at my worst doing 75 two up, and over 50 lumping along on back roads doing 50. So far I haven't sworn once at this bike.
A forum I have been on for a year or so

A lot of good people and a lot of info if you want it.
I would highly recommend the Stratoliner or Roadliner for 2-up riding. It is a larger bike that you and the wife should be able to fit on comfortably. You should try to go to your local Yamaha dealer and sit on the bike or arrange for a test ride. There are always upgrades to be had to increase your comfort if you feel they are needed.
