Hi everyone!
My name is Terry and I am the man behind the MOTORCYCLEiD account here on the forum. I am passionate about motorcycles in general and a big fan of Harley Davidson in particular.

My motorcycle life started with a 70cc mini dirt bike that I've got after watching The Dirt Bike Kid movie which I was really obsessed with. Since that time I owned many different bikes starting with simple Honda CRF150F up to Yamaha R1 and Goldwing. With time I learned how to maintain and modify my bikes, which soon developed into a full-time job. My current bike is a 2018 Harley Davidson 48 Special. It's pretty much stock except for the Vance & Hines shorty headers that give it a nice and deep rumble.

A few words about the website that I represent.

Greetings Terry!
I’m from East Tennessee. Interesting that you’re such a big fan of HD, never owned an HD, or had the desire to. Ridden several though, not for me!
No offense to our members that ride HD, they’re compatible machines, yet the parts and prices far exceeds those of most others, and the reliability of Yamaha far exceeds most others. Interesting take in my opinion, just sayin.

Welcome Terry from North Carolina. We have some here who ride HD’s and all are welcome, but I happen to agree with @keithPost. I’ve ridden HD’s before but have no desire to own one. The metric bikes have far better performance, better warranties and cost far less.
My SVTC for example comes with a 5yr Warrantee. HD would not touch that.
To get all the amenities that mine includes, you’d have to START at a CVO at almost $54,000 and then add thousands of $$$ in extras (IF they’re available) just to have what I got stock on mine.
Like I said, glad to have you, but isn’t it odd to push HD’s on a metric bike site?
To each their own.

I think Keith and Chief mis-read Terry's post

MOTORCYCLEiD sells into the market for all bikes and riding gear

Terry personally is big fan of Harley Davidson - I get that

my family has a HD history and tradition that goes back to my grandfather owning HD bikes in the 1920s
I have two cousins that restore HD bikes to their original condition.

I would not mind owning a 1957 :^)

My father owned a 1935 BMW R4 when he was stationed in Germany in 1945-47 - would not mind owning one of those either.

Gunner i don't think he is pushing Harley as much as just saying he likes them. Me being from Milwaukee i would love to have a Heritage Softtail but just can't spend that kind of money. I can say i have dealt with carid and been very happy with their products and service for my trucks.

Well to clarify and certainly not being disagreeable in any way, if your website/parts place covers more than the HD then you should state that. It’s good sometimes to be multi flavored, yet if you’re a paid vendor on a metric forum, I personally wouldn’t begin an introduction of stating what a fan I am of another make/model. Just my opinion, and we’re all entitled to that. If I were a paid vendor on an HD website, I wouldn’t tell you what a big fan I was of Yamaha, I tell you that I carry parts for multiple makes/models and invite you to check out my website. That was simply my point.

Thank you all for your warm welcome! I reread my post and realized that I really shouldn’t push my personal preferences forward, and I apologize for that.

^ no no no no no! You will find everyone on this forum is very open - most of the people here just like to ride and we ended up here because we have Vstar bikes

I have never encountered any Vstar Xenophobia here. Several people have traded in their bikes for other manufacturers machines and still hang around here.

No need to apologize - a couple people thought your website was only selling HD parts and upgrades, which is a misunderstanding.

We are good, everyone has figured it out now.

KCW is correct, your original post was a bit confusing, that’s all. No apologies necessary!
I looked at your website, competitive prices and a good inventory.
