Was wondering if anyone has any feedback if they have switched their stock 170 rear tires to a 190 or 200 width.? I think I heard that there was room for the fit. Thx

The Meztler (sp?) 880 metric will work. However, if you're looking for an increase in footprint size and overall image look. It's so minimal it may not be worth the cost of the tire and install.

If you're looking for that oversized tire look, than you need to upgrade to a 240mm kit. And, those are not cheap !!

There is room for a 180 for sure.Maybe a 200. I dunno if its worth it though unless you go to a taller wheel size.Like an 18X5.5. This way you would get width and athstetics. RC Components can cut a wheel to fit.

Good replies, thanks guys. Yea I wouldn't even consider the 240..just too wide for the Vstar purpose and turning would be difficult. I would go with a 190 (like they use stock on the Roadliner) but no more than a 200. Even these sizes would be noticeable visually- a little over an inch wider.

Let us know if thats the route you go. I know pacific coast has a metzler upgrade for the vstar950. Its a 180 rear.
