I have a 2000 650 vstar. Can't seem to find any bolt on led headlights or at least a headlight and a mount that will fit. Seems that most of the aftermarket ones I'm seeing is just universal bolt on cans that don't have the same mounting points. The headlight size is 5.75". Just have a can and harness no light. Bought the bike and somewhat "rebuilt" it now i just need the headlight.

Great thread and got me thinking also of upgrading to led even though I seldom drive in low light conditions.

I did come across this Sunpie 7" led headlight which has higher lumens thant the previous one listed but it has a canbus - would this still work on our 650s etc v-stars? And what the heck does a canbus do??

UPDATE - Oct 31, 2019

If anyone is interested I installed a 7" Sunpie LED headlight - no mods necessary - it just fit exactly into our headlight bucket just as the original - total time less than 1 hour including the learning curve as I had never done this before.

Here's the link to the Harley Davidson headlight and it lists our bikes as compatible in the description - no need for an adapter ring or anything else - just plug and ride.
