Hi everyone,
New to the forum not so new to riding! After a 3 year hiatus from riding for various personal reasons I have decided to pick it back up again!
Here goes the problem - bike has been sitting for 3 years in storage with a full tank of gas. The bike would not turn over and after replacing the battery and finally figuring out that the ignition relay was shot I'm back in action.
The bike was running incredibly rough (most likely due to the old gas) and backfiring like mad shooting foot long flames out the pipe from the front cylinder. Also it wouldnt run without the choke on. Drained the gas, put super and some sea foam in the tank and bypassed the AIS system.
Now its idling fine and will run without the choke on but only on ONE cylinder! I am in the process of taking the carbs off for a thourough cleaning and will be pulling the plug to check condition. Any ideas on what other than clogged carbs could be causing this? It was firing before I bypassed the AIS and replaced the fuel. Is it possible that I burned a valve?
Thanks!
