So I recently replaced rear pads on my Roadliner with EBC sintered pads . I cleaned the piston. lubed the slider bolts. etc.. I rode it for a couple of days then hit the rears and it went to the floor...nuthin'... checked it and the rotor was smoking hot, let it cool and it was free spinning and pedal returned...
took it home and removed , inspected ,reinstalled.... drove it with no issues , then it happens AGAIN...
before I go replacing the caliper.. any thoughts on another cause that I need to check ??

When you say you cleaned the piston, did you remove the piston to do this? You may have trapped air in the system. How old is the brake fluid? How the fluid level? Lots of questions I know but they may help you find the issue. Let us know what you find.
