Hi everyone.

I finally have my "new to me" '09 V Star 950 ready for an exciting summer. This is my second season riding, so I'm still learning. Looking forward to learning from everyone here and more about my bike. Did a little lurking before I joined to find some things out that I needed to know and glad I did.

Hoping everyone has a fantastic and safe season!

Thanks, Northern!

I appreciate the welcome! I'd love to post a pic, but for some reason, every time I try it uploads upside down. I've even saved a flipped version and it's still upside down. LOL Oh well. What can ya do?

I'm looking forward to getting to know people and my bike. Maybe even some ideas for trips.

Thanks again!

Hi Sheri!
Welcome to the forum from East Tennessee and a fellow 09’ 950 owner. We’d love to see some pics of your bike, we’re big on pics here. Lots of 950 owners here, so ask all the questions you’d like.

I'm going to try taking some more pics. I don't know why the one I just took yesterday won't post right side up. It's really weird. Anything else I post is fine...except that one. This is the best I can do. If anyone has a suggestion, I'd love to know why it's doing this. All my other pics aren't an issue. Just this one and only here.

Finally!

Had to flip the dang thing a dozen times in multiple directions on my phone before the site would accept it right side up. Here’s my baby!

Thanks, all!

I'm in the GR area of MI. Not far from the Gold Coast. LOL

Glad there are lots of '09 950s. Believe it or not, she's essentially brand new. The original owner rode her home and never rode her again. A grand total 38 miles when I got her. The owner's hubby kept her up, tho. She was so pretty when I first saw her and ran beautifully.

Thanks, Keith. I love the color. Red and black are my favorite colors, and this red is so pretty. I just couldn't resist her.

Welcome Sheri from North Carolina! That’s a “purdy” bike you got there.
It’s nice to see a woman riding. Years ago, I got my wife starting to learn how to ride her OWN bike but then she stopped and said “WHY do I need to ride my own when I’ve got an ARM CHAIR with a view?” Lol
I know what you mean about “Red & Black”!
