Hi all,
Alan in Denver here. Back into bikes after a 20 year hiatus (I married a trauma nurse, with predictable results).
Now that I'm 20 years older, presumably wiser and slower, I finally wore her down.

Picked up a beautiful 2009 1300 Tourer with 10k miles. A Wing owner's second bike, well cared for but not ridden a lot.

Commuting, took the MSF basic course, getting ready to do the advanced course and advanced BikeBonding on the V-Star.

Loving the bike!

Welcome from Houston, Texas. There are many of us here that took some time off riding to do the adult life thing for a while. Now we are back riding and enjoying every second of it. We are big into bike pictures, any to post. Here's a few interesting threads to check out when you get a chance.

Hi Alan,
Welcome to the forum from East Tennessee. I concur with les in that many of us are returning riders after a hiatus. Love to see some pics of your 1300. If I ever sell my 950, the 1300 is what I’d step up to. Did a demo ride on one last summer and loved it. Ride safely!

Welcome, Alan. Yup, I'm one of those returning riders as well. The 1300 is a beautiful bike. I'd love to see a pic too.

Wow, busy forum! Good to see, there's lots of dead forums out there.
By popular demand, here's the pics.

I had an old GS750T, a VFR, and a Concours. But after a broken back, dislocated hip, and arthritis in almost everything, I am really appreciating the V-Star.
I wish it had a little more cornering clearance, but you can't have everything. I just lean inside turns >:)
