On my Warrior, I know it can get hot. On a warm day recently, my rear brake got warm enough to make the moisture in the fluid expand and apply the brakes on its own. I had to pull over (no choice with a locked up rear wheel) and let it cool off. I was only a block or two away from my home so it happened fast.

Moisture in the line can wreak major havoc on a brake system up to and including melting rear brakes and blowing out seals in both the master and slave cylinders of the system.

So, number one thing to do is to completely flush your brake system with new fluid. Make sure it's the right one. I think most of our systems use DOT 4 brake fluid, but confirm with your manual.
