Age of a bike really doesn't matter on a maintained bike, but quick question, how old is your present bike. You can vote multiple times if you own more than one.
I'm keeping my eyes open for something like this to turn into a scrambler in the spring. Bob it and rake it out just for the fun of riding around town and out on the backroads.I ran across an '82 GS550L which happened to be one of the bikes I spent the most time on in my youth.
As long as you don't try to burn her up again.Big Bertha is is a 2000 model that would make it 20 years old. However, she made sometime if October of 1999. So technically, she is 21 years old.
BB still run near perfect & rides just as good. So I'll keep her.
(I can't afford a new/replacement bike anyway.)
Ride smart. Ride often.
That was her doing. I think she was still pissed off at the previous owner for being left outside uncovered for 2 years. She acts like every other woman I know holding a grudge. Tricky & temperamental. As long as you don't try to burn her up again.
