Been some time, hasn't it? Last post was around April I think. Family issues, life, and illness. Anywho, Been on several bike rides and now am very close to completing my trike conversion. My daughter and I have ridden it around 200 miles so far with a few minor bugs that have been addressed. This weekend we want to put another 200 or so miles of constant riding and on rougher roads (like Louisiana roads aren't rough enough). Two problems I have found: 1) Bike wants to pull to the right so I am checking rear axle alignment and tire pressures. 2) While not an integral part of the trike design, I found my EXUP valve solenoid does not work nor, I think, has it worked as it has always popped once or twice when letting off the throttle since I bought the bike (used).
At this time I am mocking up a body with cardboard for when axle testing is completed.
Don't know what the stock rake is, but want to push the front wheel out about another 16". Going to research rake vs trail vs improved/reduced handling vs cost over the next six months.
Oh yea, the rear axle assembly has cost right at $200 to date with many hours of designing and machining myself. Tires, wheels, and shock are what have been lying around.
Trying to reduce files size to attach additional pictures. Here is my guinea pig, I mean daughter, zipping along at 60 mph.

Link to my Trike Conversion

Here is a link for those wishing to see what I have done to convert a 1998 Ford Explorer rear axle to belt drive and put it on my Stratoliner. They aren't in a correct order and several images of the swingarm are missing, but this should give you an idea of what I have done. Around 200 miles so far!!
