I quit riding for a while after I had a stroke. My balance and hearing were affected the most. when I would walk, I was constantly drifting left and I ended up running into things on my left side. Lost about 30% of my hearing but got my balance straightened out and my legs are staying under me. I sold my bikes because I thought I would never ride again. I started to think I might be able to ride again and then my wife was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in December. She is currently going through dose dense chemotherapy and she started to encourage me to take up riding again to cope with the stress. I ended up getting a 2006 Suzuki S83 Boulevard in beautiful condition. I can't wait to get back on the road again, but the weather needs to cooperate a little more yet. I am also glad to be back here on this forum as it has always been my favorite. Please send some prayers our direction as Tammy has had a difficult time with chemo, next treatment tomorrow. I missed you guys and gals!

Glad to see you again.
It seems like when it rains, it pours. Sounds like you've had more than your fair share of problems lately.
Glad your doing some better. Take it easy getting back in the saddle until you get your riding legs again.
Hope the treatments do the job for your wife

Thoughts and prayers going out to you and your family as this is a difficult time. Very happy to see that you're getting back into something you're passionate about. Just take it slow and be careful. Life is a journey and we need to enjoy it while we can.

Prayers for you and your wife! I know where your coming from, I had a stroke last march. I lost some feeling in my left foot and leg and also had hearing loss. Glad to hear your getting back on a bike. Riding has been the driving force for my recovery, its who I am!!!
