$100 to $150 per day?

YIKES! you can rent a car for $150 a week, with unlimited mileage

one of the reasons I love motorcycles is they are simple machines

and therefore very inexpensive to own, maintain and operate

I can think of several other things I would rather "rent" for the day for $200, than a motorcycle....

Renting a bike can be very costly if you ever get in a wreck. None of your car or bike insurance covers bike rentals like in a car rental. So you will be 100% responsible for any deductable and/or damage to a rented bike.

^ maybe thats why its so expensive?

maybe its $35 for the bike and helmet rental
and non-optional $115 for the comprehensive 1 day insurance coverage

I cannot imagine Indian would let you even sit on one of their bikes if you were not fully covered one way or the other.

If Indian is anything like Harley then carrying the insurance still leaves you with a $2,000 deductible.

I dont understand that

I have full coverage on both bikes thru progressive, deductible is a couple hundred dollars, and its less than $300 / year for both bikes

but then I paid $3300 for my 650 and $2900 for my Royal Star... so... yeah... Im not riding a $35,000 motorcycle.
