So I am installing my new Ricks stator and I know i have to add some liquid gasket around where the wires run thru the grommet in the crankcase cover.
650cc&d recommends a rtv (room temperature vulcanizing) silicone sealant.
I have Threebond 1211 and Permatex Ultra Copper. Anyone have experience with these in this situation?
I have used both for gaskets between metal items on different bikes before but never on something like this. The rubber grommets and wiring will be bathed in hot oil constantly and I would hate to have some of the gasket material flake off and end up in the rest of the engine.
I am up for any suggestions.
