My husband had been riding for a long time, but recently we have started making upgrades to his bike to make the ride more comfortable for me as well.
I ordered yamaha floorboards for me, but not the mounting brackets. One person told me the peg brackets will work, another said I need to order separate brackets.
I have no idea what I'm doing.

The passenger footpeg attachments are different on some bikes.

Which bike do you have?

I made several changes to passenger foot pegs and seat for my wife's comfort. Please post which bike and if an 1100 I will expand on my comfort mods.

The foot boards do take a different brackets, so you would need to order them. What I did was to take the left footpeg assembly and put on right side and right peg assembly on right. This moved the pegs forward about two inches and down a bit. It gave my wife a more leaned back posture with legs stretched out some. It was a simple unbolt and swap side, plus free. Hope that made sense. These mods were made on an 1100 but I'm pretty sure it will work on a 650. See photo.

The other thing we did was to buy an Ultimate seat and back rest. She loved here new setup for several years until we bought a Harley Electra Glide and she has a throne.

He just installed a new mustang seat, the new backrest is on order.
I found a full set of floorboards and mounts on ebay Tuesday, when I went back to order on Wednesday, they were$80 more.
I emailed the company selling them and was informed that they were now discontinued and so they had to raise the price.
Whatever, had to or want to, I'm not paying the extra.
I did find some for half what they are asking on amazon, but they don't have mounts.
Frustrating

We had the same issue justifing the floor board cost. Doing the foot peg swap really helped. You might what to try it, it's free, just a thought.
