Just bought my wife a 650 Silverado

for a first bike it offers great value, good balance and has everything a new rider needs with windshield, bags, floorboards and a heal shifter

I found a local bike '05 with just over 2000 miles on it and bought it for $3800

The one thing we would both like is some more visability for her, so I would like to add the Highway Lights/Running Lights

It doesn't seem that there is much room between the windshield and light bar, and the wife doesn't want the light bar that drops the running lights/turn signals down, rather wants the light bar that will hold the lights out to the sides still.

Anyone have a 650 silverado with light bar and windshield?

got pics?

What lights bar do you have?

Thanks

That's a good deal for a low mileage Silverado. The 1st time I drove my 650 at night, I realized immediately that the lights needed a major upgrade. I'm be curious to see what you find.

Yep here to, especially the country roads. Lights and whistles.

well we are in South Florida and we can ride year round and don't have to worry about deer jumping out in front of us.

Back on topic - we are not worried about the head light and how much light it throws out - we already swapped the bulb to a much brighter PIAA lens that gives you twice the light from the same voltage as the stock unit.

What I am specifically interested in is, does anyone with a 650 Silverado have a light bar with highway lights and a windshield on thier bike?

there is very little distance from the stock light bar to the windshield and with not much distance I do not see how the spot lights will fit without hitting the shield.

thanks for the reply and pics

yeah we have seen those, they drop the turn signals down instead of keeping them out to the sides, she doesn't like that

anyone got one that keeps them out to the sides?

Go to vstar1100.com. That might give you an idea for what you're looking for. 650/1100, same front end setup.

do you have crash bars? What about mounting s couple of lights on them. Thinking of doing this to my 1100.

yeah she does and that is a good idea

it will give us more room to deal with lights and we can get them out wider to get her a larger profile at night to help other cars see her
