I recently purchased a 2001 Vstar 1100 with 870 orginal miles. The bike runs good but I found the two rubber hoses (near the tool holder) were each looped back (in a U shape) and kinked. The metal lines from the heads were connected by a hose in U shape and kinked. Can someone tell me what this is and why it is done. I put them back in line and now the bike pops or cracks when shifting.
