It is getting cold, but I am still riding, so I am looking to get some good looking lower wind deflectors. Most aftermarket stuff I saw look horrible, especially the clear fork mounted ones. I found some nice leather ones from Desert Dawgs, but they are made for 1100 and 1300, not sure if they fit the 950. Any recommendation?

Anything that directs the air off rider will help keeping you warmer. The fork deflectors are not all that large, but do help. True lowers like on full dressers do a great job keeping the cold air off the rider. Most of them have louvers that can be opened in hotter temps.

Are there any decent ones being made for the 950?

I'm sure a few 950 owners will chime in shortly. I think @Keith Post has the Memphis Shade ones and likes them. Calling car 54, Keith, you out there?

I was also looking at memphis website, and it looks like they have two products - FORK DEFLECTORS FOR XVS950 V-STAR SKU: MEM5804 and LOWERS FOR XVS950 V-STAR SKU: MEP5810. They don't have any photos for the Lowers, I imagine they are the short version like yours?

I also see National guard carries two products - Heavy Duty Chrome Lowers, and Switchblade Chrome Lowers. Not sure what is the difference.

Hah, after some research, it turns out that my windshield is a National Cycle Switchblade, which is compatible with the National Switchblade Lowers. Just ordered a set, will post photos once it arrives.
