Nice! I found a guy - (Bad Seed Cycle) that makes a nice super thick 10 ga pan......I love that I could get the rivet holes pre-drilled and I still spent less than $40 for it. It's super thick steel bent perfectly and definitely not going to bend any more :)

13x13.25 Wide Motorcycle Seat Pan ....

I know it takes away a bit of the fun.... but if you don't have easy access to the tools to bend 10 ga, it's a great alternative.

I made my first out of doubled up 16gauge and it worked out solidly. I made this one out of a single sheet of 16 gauge. Welded on the bolts and rode around on it for a couple hours with no foam on it to see if it warped or had an weaknesses. Other than the dimples on my poor ass because of the bolts and no foam it was great.

Like all the deals you boys get in the states but simply nothing like that up here. I would be twice what it costs me to make it here. Costs me about $40 for the steel, bolts and paint. But all the makers of these are down in the US or worse China. With shipping duties and taxes its just not worth it. Plus truthfully I enjoy the working with the metal part.

I don't blame ya.....it does make it a little more personal that way and as they say....if you bolt it on, it ain't custom....lol.

Steel isn't all that cheap here either, and i hired out having the cover done too. I ran into an awesome local vendor "Tombstone Trike and Hearse" in Tombstone, AZ...and an upholstery magician named Miner Mike....a truly wonderful character.

I'm sure I don't need to point out which one he is....
