Each VStar is specific to their engine, If you want to build your own, just buy a custom frame tabbed for that engine. Back in the 70's and 80's we could buy frames from a company called jammer. You ordered the frame and you told them if you wanted it tabbed or not and if tabbed what motor you were using.
