New member from Arkansas ?

Hello Forum Members , It's been over 20 years since I last rode. I recently traded for '02 V-Star 1100 Classic. It was in bad shape , but is slowly getting revived . My first surprise is - 1st. gear speed ! Am I the only "new to cruisers" member that is surprised at the high 1st. gear ? I have been enjoying this site and learning more about V-Stars , thanks to you all .
