Hello fellow riders. Derek here, i'm from a small town about an hour north of Toronto. I just picked up a 02 vstar 1100 classic, sold my 82 maxim 550 and finally upgraded. Planning to chop this bike into a bobber. Look forward to sharing my build and learning some tips along the way. I will get my dad on here aswell he has a 2010 stratoliner deluxe.

Welcome to the forum fellow Canuckstonian. You have have joined the elite star bike forum this side of the alpha quadrant. The 1100 is one great platform to either modify or keep as is. However, it has a tendency to do some thing that surprised a lot of new owners. During acceleration and then at cruise it give you a perma grin like you wouldn't believe. If you want to sell the parts you're going to be removing, post them up for sale in the for sale forum. And while you're in that part of the site, visit the Canadian forum also and chime in.

Ride safe and keep it shiny side up.
