Just bought a brand new 950T in Raven Black today. It's being shipped so I'm dying of anticipation to get it next week. I hope to get lots of tips for good mods and any advice from the forum.

Thanks,

Nick

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll get lots of help and suggestions on moding your 950. Some folks on here swear by them and say that it's the best bike in town or something like that :). Make sure you post a pic or two when you get it.

Ride safe and keep it shiny side up.

Welcome to the 4M.
So is it shipping to a nearby dealer or is it shipping to your doorstep?
It's shipping to my doorstep. Supposed to be picked up Friday/Saturday and be here within 3 days. What to do until then??? I've already been trying to bankrupt myself on accessories...Helmet, Jacket, gloves, highway bars.....Finally stopped myself today and figured I'd get some miles on the thing before buying anything else.

Thanks, and btw AWESOME MOVIE!!! quick question since you're in Austin, do you have a trusted bike mechanic in the area to do service, or do you just do it yourself? Being that my bike is brand new and it came with the 5yr warranty, I don't expect too much trouble. I'd like to do oil changes myself, but looking for someone reputable for the bigger tasks. I've heard awful things about some of the local Yamaha dealers.

I've taken my bike to 3 different establishments for various things/repairs/maintenance and have had some issue(s) with all of them. I would say to stay away from the dealership altogether but u do have the extended warranty so why not use it with them? While I've had issues with 2 other bike shops, I will vouch for their bike knowledge and prices over the dealership's. U can check out Southern Metal Choppers or Zabor's Motorcycle shop if u want other choices.
