Welcome from Atlantic Canada. Sorry about your Dad. There are lots of knowledgeable people on here who can help with any questions you may have. Chances are the carbs are pretty gummed up if it wasn't properly stored but it's nothing a little elbow grease can't fix. Make sure to post your questions in the appropriate forum for the best responses.
Welcome from Houston, Texas. Hopefully working on your dad's bike will bring positive thoughts. Just post and issues you are having with the bike in the Bathroom section for the best exposure. Here's a few interesting threads to check out when you get a chance.
Welcome to the forum from East Tennessee kcreech, sorry for your loss.

I have a 2001 V-Star 1100 classic, which I bought new. It's been a great bike with only a starter, stater, tires and a few batteries replaced. Recently, my wife has taken it over and wants to make it a bobber...so here is it's current state. Old vs new.
