Been riding for over 50 years, everything from the old mini's with the lawnmower and chainsaw engines to the latest and greatest Gold Wing. Had a few Harley's along the way, too.

I am a people watcher and particular about my associates.

Went shopping for a new Harley this spring, and got a load of the hanger's on with their tats, shabby clothes, and piercings, turned around and walked out! I just do not fit with graffiti people!

Started looking at metric cruisers, clean shops, clean cut sales folks, and saw normal professional and trades people shopping and getting service. Then looked at a number of quality products, so made a very tough choice between the Suzuki M109 and the Yamaha, but decided on the big Yamaha because it is air cooled and has no cam chains.

Welcome

RCW,

Hi wonder which big Yamaha did you decide on? I have a 06 Stratoliner. Nothing but good to say about it. But I'm not as experienced. Is my fourth bike. I see some questions, I think it is a big cruiser you have to ride like it is a big cruiser.

Just in case I like the Road Star too.

RCW,
Welcome from So IN, I'M with Dave wondering what you ended up with. I agree on air cooled(may be an older guy thing):) Whatever you ended up with, if it's Yamaha, you done good! I don't ride a very big one, an 1100 Silverado, big enough for me and I flat out love it. Have fun and Ride Safe.

I purchased a left over 09 Roadliner S. Saved a ton of money!
