Here are a couple of shots of my '05 V-Star 1100 Custom. I bought it off the original owner who had put only 1840 miles on it since he bought it new in 2006. It's setting on a new concrete patio I just poured a couple of weeks ago; one shot shows our dog Maggie - I'm trying to figure out how to get her to ride with me...I'm sure she'd love it.

So far. I'm lovin' it. I would like to improve its performance a bit, maybe do something to the air intake and exhaust to gain a bit more HP. I do enjoy tinkering.

Thanks for looking!

Ride the dog

Lemii,

Bike looks really good, I bet after a few times seeing you on the bike the dog would ride in a milk crate or trunk on the luggage rack and some coushions. Maybe a coushion on the tank.

Great looking bike, I have a 2000 vstar 1100 custom, it has about 7200 miles now. I just did some of things you mentioned, cobra slip on slash cut exhausts, baron big air kit/rejets KN filter. I also had the baron oil relocation kit added. Bike runs well, a little more responsive than prior to changes, accelerates well. cobra pipes are louder than stock on idle but on open road accelerating they are very loud and i left the baffles in cause i didnt want too much sound plus i know the bike runs better having some discharge exhaust back pressure. Ride safely and enjoy your nice new ride.

Thanks for the kind words. I am considering a few options: Cobra Pro 2-into-1 exhasut and maybe a hypercharger or big air kit. First I need to make it a little more comfortable for my wife.

I have toyed around with t idea of putting a harness on my dog and wrapping a leash around my shoulders and neck, then setting her on a rubber mat of some kind on the tank - I actually did that with my first dog on my first bike several years ago.
