Just joined the forum as I need help with one of the most annoying issues I have ever encountered. I know thats what the specific sections are for but I'm not allowed to post a topic there and need to figure this thing out before the weekend so any help would be highly appreciated.

Background: 04 Yamaha Vstar 1100, Bought the bike recently and it has never run right, the previous owner put straight pipes on it without rejetting (already changed them back to stock), and also the hoses that go to the exhaust were plugged so I connected them back the way they are suppose to be.

Whats happening: The bike goes into extreamly high idle when the back tire is spun.

What I did so far:
-cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, set the fuel level and synchronized (new diaphrams, needle and seat, bowl gasket)
-adjusted tps
-valve clearances (were extreamly tight on the front ex valve, after setting them to the right clearance there is a ticking noise as if they would be out of spec, triple checked the measurement and they are the way they are suppose to be)
- new fuel filter and clean gas in the tank
- check for vacuum leaks, non found

my theory is that once the tire is spun the fuel pump gives way too much fuel/pressure thus forcing it in the carb and raising the idle, i know that it is controlled by the ignitor unit but there is no way to check it (manual says replace it if its bad by factoring out all the other issues that could be caused by it), what i dont get is once you stop and the fuel pump is getting less current hence giving less pressure why does the idle shoot up? this is happening if the engine is cold but gets much worse once heated up all the way

i know this is a reoccurring problem with vstars but all the fixes that ive read about havent helped so maybe one of you guys can figure it out, thanks for the help!
