Although a long-time Harley rider, for personal reasons I've been off a bike for 15 months. I finally decided that a metric is better than nothing, so bought a new 2009 V-Star 1300 Tourer in December.

My concern is the massive amount of air behind the windscreen. Yes, I've become used to the Harley fairing, but now I'm on what I'm on and need to minimize the wind as much as possible. At nearly any speed, the wind is such that the updraft blows against my helmet/visor and it's so noisy that I can't even hear the engine exhaust. Has anyone come up with a solution to this issue? I can put my hand on my right-knee, fingers raised, and the windstream to my helmet is dramatically reduced. Is there an aftermarket wind deflector that can be put somewhere so that the ride is quiet and comfortable?

Beyond this issue, I find the bike comfortable, powerful and very well built!

Thanks!
