Wasn't planning to seal the rim. My understanding is we may need to use a bike tube b/c car tubes stem placement is different? Also if a radial is used then a tube for radial tire should be used b/c a bias tire tube isn't made to withstand the flexing in a radial tire? Is the oem tire radial or bias (170 80 15)? If it is radial life just got easier!! You can see i'm full of questions and may be opening a can of worms. Thx for your help.....

Every motorcycle tire I've seen is bias, I'm willing to bet nearly all are. However that doesn't mean you can't use a radial if you're going to the darkside. I would check with your local tire shop on whether they have tubes for that size, I can't comment intelligently on tubes because the only tubed tires I have are on my tractor when the tire gets a hole, as it's hard to find matching rubber for 50 year old wheels, and they only have to sustain speeds of 5-15mph.
