So I helped a buddy change his brake lines on his new Strat (2006 so new to him) today and after all was buttoned up we bled the brakes. All air bubbles out front, both sides, but still no brakes pressure. Before bleeding I could wiggle the pads as pistons hadn't pushed out yet. Now after bleeding, the pads are making contact but there is no pressure at either the lever or pads. What the.....? I did same procedure I've done on many race cars and last week when I installed the chrome calipers on my Strat. Anyone have this happen? Help!

you've still got air in the lines......

when bleeding brakes don't pull the lever or push a pedal farther than it normally go's take a lot of small squeezes so the rubber on the master cylinder does not go into an area that hasn't been used, because that area can be rough from corrosion and cut the rubber seal. always try gravity bleeding before manual bleeding to avoid problems.

As per advice on another forum, I zip-tied the lever back and let it sit over night. Next day I pumped it about 30 times and I have brakes now. Went for a ride and all is good. Thanks all for advice.
