where is the paint code on a 950 T
I do not know, but this may or may not help: the boys at the body shop tell me you can call Yamaha with your VIN and get an answer.(as to correct color) Also they tell me (some shops) have a conputer scan thing that will match your paint out of all the 100's or maybe 1000's of differtent mixtures, tints , company ect. True or not, that's what they tell me.
At least something to look at:) Good luck.

Check the "Model Label" (probably located under the seat) not to be confused with VIN.

I don't have a 950 but that's where Yamaha puts its model specific identification for ordering parts (presumably to include color-coded panels). Unfortunately my Yamaha Service Manual offers no decryption information for the label's information, but if you happily disgorge the numbers/letters to a Yamaha Emergency Room Provider, you might gain the wisdom you seek;)

Alternatively, check the legend in the following diagram:

Good luck:D:D:D

I Looked under the seat as per my owners manual.
That is where it is at on a 1300.
mine was made in 2008 as per vehicle ID on steering head pipe.
Mine says 3D87-010 under that the Capital letter B. So what does it mean?
Looking at an on line parts Catalog for a XVS13AY Spells it out.

3D87 means it is made for 49 states.
010 is production Code.
3D88 is California.
The letter B is the color Type.
Color type B = 0390 color code
Bluish White Cocktail 1.
Abbreviation BWC1.

if it was an A it would be Black Metallic, code 0903, abbreviation SMX.
apparently they made the 1300 in two colors in 2008.

I would think a 950 would be similar in code.
