Any thoughts on passing inspection in NC now that you have to get inspected or no license plate renewal? I just had straight pipes put on a 2-1, no baffle. How do i pass inspection now? Also had horn removed! Horn and exhaust needed for inspection, any good ideas. What do the custom bike owners do?

Don't know what the I.D. of your pipe is but there are lots of different baffles out there online or in catalogs, maybe you could get one that will fit inside your pipe temporarily. As far as removing your horn, why in the world would you ever want to do that?! I've had a number of people cut me off or pull out in front of me that I bought LOUDER than stock horns. Bought a pair from NAPA for a total of about $38.00, one hi & one lo tone. They're rated at 118 decibels each. Horns are required by law for a reason - safety. I'm a state of North Carolina certified inspection technician and I think the must be inspected to register law is a great one, there were way too many uninspected vehicles, both 2 and 4 wheeled out there that were in no way fit to be on the road. You would not believe the condition of some vehicles I've had people ask me to "let it slide" or "just inspect it, I'll fix it when I get my next paycheck". Yeah right.
