Rear brake sticking

I've got good news/bad news. My 2001 650 Classic didn't really have sticking brakes so much as, the pedal just wouldn't come up all the way to turn off the brake light. As much as I would try to lube all the pivot points I could reach, it only ever lasted a few weeks. Back in early June, I needed both a new rear tire and, my rear brakes were squealing like a banshee so, I ordered new brake shoes. (Oddly enough, the "old" brake shoes didn't seem to have much wear on them and were still thicker than the Genuine Yamaha replacements I got - just cheap copies, I guess.) Anyway, when I was putting it back together, I put the absolute thinnest coat I could of the Moly Grease you need to use on the two sets of splines when you pull and open the back end. I've got to say, my brake pedal is now smoother than it's ever been in the 3 1/2 years I've had it.
I just lubed the oval face that pushed the shoes out (colored brown here) - Part # 15. You have to be careful not put any more on there as you can. You don't want it getting on the shoe faces or the drum surface! Less is more here!

Oh. Because the ones on there, the thicker ones, were squealing so bad while braking, I replaced them with the brand new Yamaha ones. The thinner ones.
