When i took my 2000 vstar 1100 custom to the yamaha dealer/shop for maintenance recently they said they needed to do a yamaha recall item, it was a seat bracket replacement requirement. I just thought i would mention it in case anyone wanted to ask your dealer

not sure, they just said they needed to do something to seat bracket as a recall item, sorry
