Yep, Starbucks sounds great. My brother-in-law is coming on his Harley too. How does 8:30 at Starbucks, 4895 S, East Frontage Road, CA-99, Stockton, Sound? Then we will be at the Yamaha Dealer by 9 with kickstands up at 10.

I'm looking forward to this. Boots you've already met the Strat I've thought about riding Cherry but may have to go with comfort. I will be there.

Comfort is king. Besides that, I'm partial to bigger bikes (says the guy lusting over a Venture). Later.

After riding Cherry a while maybe I need to take her on an extended run to judge comfort. See you Saturday morning.

Great poker ride today for Quilts of Honor. These people know how to put on a group ride. I didn't take as many pictures as usual because the conversation was too good. Boots, Mike and I met up in Stockton and rode about 20 mi to the dealership and signed up bought a few raffle tickets and headed out. I felt really comfortable which is not always the case on group rides. Got a pair of fives not enough to win (three sevens won). Plus I won a vest the fits perfectly. I will let Boots tell the rest of the story.

Agreed, it was a good day. Weather was perfect, we had at least 25 bikes all together and simply a good ride with good people. I liked this group at first because they make it clear they don't do bar hopping and prohibit drinking during rides. There are a lot of veterans in the group but that's not the focus. Today was focused on veterans because of the purpose of this ride. It was to raise funds for the Quilts of Honor which is a small organization that makes quilts for veterans that fit certain criteria of having diagnosed PTSD, a purple heart, traumatic brain injury, multiple tours in country or their affected by agent orange. https://www.quiltsofhonor.org/ So, the ride was great, I tried a new app which is supposed to track the route we took and it did good but I forgot to take pictures at most of the stops. Pat took some good ones so imagine those interspersed in this little video: https://www.relive.cc/view/rt10004838239 The video starts where I fueled up to start the ride, met Pat at Starbucks in Stockton, went to the Yamaha dealer in Modesto and then started the ride with kick stands up at 10 AM. I ended the tracking at the Stockton Yamaha dealer where we had the festivities.

The raffle and poker hands were a surprise. I won 50 bucks with the worst hand! Having a lousy hand is normal for me but I've never won cash for that reason before. Then, for the raffle, I won a pair of riding boots that I gave to Mike, my brother-in-law (his size) and then also won a dart game with magnetic darts. It was fun. They fed us and we all made some new friends. Here are the pics I did take:

I’m sorry I’m late to the party.? Its sooo good to see and hear other forum members getting together. Looks like you all had a great time. THIS is what we were talking about but in ACES at our Southeastern Rally in Maggie Valley. Not to mention some of the worlds most renowned motorcycling roads!
Keep the momentum going guys! We’re rooting for ya!
I hear ya @Boots “lusting for a SVTC”...
So if I send you pictures of mine is that considered “bike porn”?? ?
Hope to see you on one soon!
